Why did you decide to book your boudoir session?
I had the idea to book a boudoir session from looking at photographers’ websites for my upcoming wedding. I thought it would be a great wedding gift for my husband-to-be. I decided to go with Seriously Sexy Boudoir when I received the LivingSocial through my email. I hadn’t seriously considered splurging on a session until I saw the deal.

Did you do anything to prepare for your session?
I got a spray tan the day before my session, and also a manicure and pedicure. I bought one new outfit for the session, and put together 2 others from things I had at home. I also looked through magazines and websites to get ideas for poses.

How was it having your makeup done by Kristine Marie Artistry and your hair styled by Hair by Alice?
I was very pleased with my hair and makeup. Friends who have seen my photos have especially commented on how great my eye makeup looks. I certainly couldn’t have done it on my own. I would definitely recommend having your hair and makeup professionally done. This may be the only time someone ever does a boudoir session, and it is worth it to pay a little more to look your best.

How do you feel about your session experience and your images?
The experience was so relaxed and not awkward or embarrassing at all! It helped that I didn’t have to come up with poses or looks on my own, that Leila showed me exactly how to pose. I am beyond thrilled by my images!

Any thoughts or advice for ladies who are thinking about having a session, but aren’t quite sure if they’re ready or brave enough?
Definitely go for it! I consider myself fairly shy, but I was completely comfortable. I didn’t think I knew how to act sexy either, but was hoping I could produce some sexy photos. And editing does wonders, so don’t worry about your perceived flaws. I couldn’t be happier with my images and can’t believe how sexy they are!

Of the entire experience, what were your two favorite things that you loved the most?
I loved the whole experience the day of my session. Arriving and getting my hair and makeup done and dressing up was fun. I really felt pampered. My other favorite thing was the reveal day. I loved the slideshow Leila created, and it was great to go through the images with her and select my favorites. There was no pressure, and I was given lots of time to make my decisions.

Would you recommend the Seriously Sexy experience to other women?  Why or why not?
Yes! Whether it is for yourself or for your significant other, it was so fun, and was definitely worth the money to have these beautiful photos to last a lifetime.

Why did you decide to book your boudoir session?
I decided to do the boudoir photos when I saw the package deal on LivingSocial. I was trying to think of a good anniversary gift at the time. I was sick of giving electronics and wanted to give a more meaningful present and I knew he would be really surprised.

Did you do anything to prepare for your session?
I prepared by deciding to get hair and make up done. Going shopping. It was hard to find good lingerie in the stores. I ended up ordering online. I also just looked at model posing.

How was it having your makeup done by Kristine Marie Artistry and your hair done by Jeff Harris?
They were amazing. I also have stick straight hair.  My hair had the most volume that day!  I wish I could take them to Florida for my wedding!

How do you feel about your session experience and your images?
It was really good. Went very smoothly and was really comfortable.

Any thoughts or advice for ladies who are thinking about having a session, but aren’t quite sure if they’re ready or brave enough?
You have to do one photo shoot like this in your life. It’s just as much for you as it is for him.

Of the entire experience, what were your two favorite things that you loved the most?
Two favorite things were the reveal of the photos with you [the Studio Unveiling] and the look on my fiancé’s face when I gave him a book. He was confused until he opened it and then he was shocked.

Would you recommend the Seriously Sexy experience to other women?  Why or why not?
Yes I would recommend.  Leila is very busy and editing takes a while. So you must be patient but it definitely is worth while in the end.

Why did you decide to book your boudoir session?
I saw it on LivingSocial and decided to do something spontaneous – something out of my comfort zone.

Did you do anything to prepare for your session?
Looked at what I owned and what I thought I would look good in – tried to remind myself to relax!

How do you feel about your session experience and your images?
It was a lot of fun – the experience definitely makes you feel really feminine.

How was it having your makeup done by Kristine Marie Artistry?
I got a TON of compliments at work when I didn’t take it off afterwards.  I think that says something!

Would you recommend to other ladies to have the professional makeup as well?  
Definitely, if they aren’t comfortable doing their own – I don’t really wear makeup, so there’s no way I could make myself look as good.

Any thoughts or advice for ladies who are thinking about having a session, but aren’t quite sure if they’re ready or brave enough?
Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and try something you wouldn’t usually do. It’s very freeing!

How sexy and girly I felt doing it.

Why did you decide to book your boudoir session?
I chose to do a boudoir session as a gift for my husband who was deployed at the time.

Did you do anything to prepare for your session?
Sure did! I had my hair and make up done professionally along with a spray tan.  I also went shopping at VS and Fredericks for my “outfits”.  :)

How do you feel about your session experience and your images?
I felt VERY comfortable with you and loved how you “knew your stuff”.  You put me in positions and turned my face/body in ways that you knew would look “good”.  You were a true professional in my opinion!

Of the entire experience, what were your two favorite things that you loved the most?
1) your different props (couch to bed to sheets on bed…) and 2) getting the proofs so fast.

Would you recommend the Seriously Sexy experience to other women?  Why or why not?
Yes, and I have.  I think every woman deserves to feel like a “sexy goddess” at some point in her life!

Welcome to What to Wear Wednesday!  Every week, I’ll showcase an outfit that I love and think would  make a fabulous look for your next boudoir shoot.  I looooove styling shoots, so this is great fun for me.  =)

Oh my goodness gracious. I could not be more excited about a new line coming out at Target (in Australia only for right now, but hopefully it’ll make its way here within the year!) designed by no other than Dita Von Teese! I’M SO CRAZY EXCITED!!! As y’all know, I love all things boudoir and I adore vintage-inspired lingerie. I think this line has so much promise. Check out the gorgeousness:

Oh please, oh please, oh PLEASE let these come to the US! Leopard print, black and royal blue….three of my absolute favorite things. I definitely would love to get that gartered chemise for whenever I get around to having my own boudoir session done!
